Write Up Of The Week Featuring Daydreams Massage & Bodywork

Daydreams Massage & Bodywork has been in business for over a year and still going strong.  Providing more than just a massage, they provide an experience that will leave you in a state of daydreaming.  Owner Stacye has been inspired since a very young age at having her own business.  “My inspiration came from my past. I grew up in the housing projects in Washington, DC. Growing up, I was repeatedly given the same advice: “Stay in school.” But never given advice on what to do or become once I graduated high school. Upon graduating, I became an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). I have now been in the field of healthcare for over 20 years. I’ve always known I wanted to help others. My son is my biggest inspiration! I have this beautiful human watching and looking up to me which motivates and inspires me to be the best I can be,” says the Daydreams Massage & Bodywork owner.  Serving clients in the comfort of their own home also provides a daydream state because they are already comfortable there.

Stacye has plans to further her education to expand Daydreams Massage & Bodywork.  “My goals are to further my education in order to build my brand, and have a steady stream of clientele. Since conducting our interview with her she has completed the  Sports Massage course and gotten the hours needed, so now she can help and service professional sport members. My home teams are where I start off ‘Daydreams’ and practicing sports massages: Washington Redskins, The Mystics, Washington Nationals, ect.” says Stacye. Knowing she wanted to be an entrepreneur at a young age helped pave the way for Stacye to start Daydreams Massage & Bodywork.  Her message is to the people is to take care of yourself and your body.  “”EveryBODY” needs a massage says Stacye.  To book any massages, visit the Daydreams Massage & Bodywork’s  Instagram: @daydreamsmassages or online : daydreamsmassages.net.  “All I can say is “stay tuned and be on the lookout for Daydreams Massage & Bodywork. I am always on the move. You might catch me in your city or town!” says Stacye.

* Why did you chose your company name / What does it mean to you?

Daydreams Massage & Bodywork. I wanted a name that was not only catchy, but also had a nice ring to it. Moreover, it represents my brand as well as my line of services. When you ‘Daydream’, you are usually in a relaxed state of mind. Comfortable and relaxed are how I want my customers to feel. People often find themselves ‘Daydreaming’ while getting a massage.

* What are your goals for your company for the rest of this year?

My goals are to further my education in order to build my brand, and have a steady stream of clientele. I will enroll and complete the course in Sports Massage, so I may help and service professional sport members. My home teams are where I start off ‘Daydreams’ and practicing sports massages: Washington Redskins, The Mystics, Washington Nationals, ect..

 * What Inspired you to start your company?

My inspiration came from my past. I have this beautiful human watching and looking up to me which motivates and inspires me to be the best I can be.

* Did you always want to be an entrepreneur?

Yes, I have always wanted to be an entrepreneur since I was a little girl. I used to ‘dream’ and imagine having my own nail/hair salon. I’ve always had a passion for designing nails and modeling in the DMV area. It was when I was sitting in traffic one day when I started ‘Daydreaming’. I thought of many ways to get myself out of having to take this long daily commute. Hmm…if I won the lottery, I wouldn’t have to worry about this. The only thing about winning the lottery is that you have to not only play (I rarely play)…but you have to win! So, I thought of something I would enjoy doing and still continue my passion to help people. The thought of Massage Therapy came to mind. This would offer dual enjoyment, purpose and fulfillment for client and self. Upon reaching my destination, I heard a commercial on the radio about enrolling in school to become a Massage Therapist. Later that day, I went home and checked my mailbox. There was an advertisement for Massage Therapy School. That day, I knew something was telling me that THAT is where I needed to be!

* Words of advice you would give to someone getting into your field

My advice would be to not only be careful, but to stay focused. Stay up to date on everything massage therapy and continually educate yourself. Learn new techniques. Do not give up. There are so many ways you can use your Massage Therapy services.

* What is the message you want to deliver to people?

My message to the people is: Take care of yourself! We tend to get caught up in everyday life like working and raising our families; that we forget to take the time to pamper ourselves. “EveryBODY” needs a massage. While being in the comfort of their own home; I will come to the client and provide my services. You will be amazed at what a massage can do for you. Especially from my mobile massage company: Daydreams Massage & Bodywork!

* How long have you been in your craft?

Unknowingly, I have been doing my craft just about all of my life. When I was younger, I used to walk on my family members’ backs! Throughout the years, I’d give many hand, foot and back massages. Unbeknownst to myself, I was doing it all along and all wrong. In June 2018, I started Massage Therapy School. I graduated in June 2019. Since graduating, I started my mobile massage therapy business called: Daydreams Massage & Bodywork.

*Any upcoming events or releases we can include?

All I can say is “stay tuned and be on the lookout for Daydreams Massage & Bodywork. I am always on the move. You might catch me in your city or town!”
