W.U.O.T.W featuring “I Am Me” (Non-Profit Organization)

Owner Christina White of I Am Me (@Iammeprogram) and MBS Love Inc., started her businesses after learning self-love and care as an adult. “I originally wanted to name the program “I Am” because I knew whatever we put after I Am, we are. However, the name was already being used. I was discussing this with a friend of mine, and she stated I should name the program “I Am Me” because that’s who we are. I loved that idea and took the advice”.  After working with children since a teenager and becoming a mom, Christina decided to take all of her knowledge and become an entrepreneur. I AM Me helpschildren learn self-love at an early age to avoid becoming a bully, or know their worth if they were being bullied.  “Children are the future and we should provide them self-love tools to help navigate life’s ups and downs. Learning to accept our mistakes allows us to learn from the mistake and make adjustments to be successful and happy”.  I AM ME  (@Iammeprogram) has goals of becoming an official 501C3 this year, in order to receive grants to allow every child to learn meditation, body mindfulness, affirmations and self-love.  Moreover, they plan to take their self-love practice nation and world-wide.  Look out for several upcoming events for IAM Me which include; Three different Meditate and Paint events. 3/27 & 3/28, I Am Me Camp (Nature week) 4/6-10, Paint in the Park with B.Fields 4/18, I Am Me June Camp 6/1-26/2020.  All of the details and links can be found on Instagram.com/iammeprogram.

Why did you chose your company name / What does it mean to you?

I originally wanted to name the program “I Am” because I knew whatever we put after I Am, we are. However, the name was already being used. I was discussing this with a friend of mine, and she stated I should name the program “I Am Me” because that’s who we are. I loved that idea and took the advice. MBS Love Inc., the nonprofit name means Mind Body Soul Love because our mission is to help and teach all individuals to nurture and take care of all three, mind body and soul.

What are your goals for your company for the rest of this year?

My goals are to impact and empower as many children and adults as possible. Currently as a wellness consultant, I teach the I Am Me Program (children’s self-empowerment) to preschoolers.  Also, I host camps for elementary school aged children and working on getting into charter middle/high schools. We would love to bring I Am Me to different states and countries as well. Our number one goal is become an official 501C3 so we receive grants and allow every child to learn meditation, body mindfulness, affirmations and self-love!

What inspired you to start your company?

Learning self-love and care as adult was life changing. I was inspired to help children learn self-love at an early age to avoid becoming a bully, or know their worth if they were being bullied. I also wanted to motivate children to thrive beyond any situational limitations they may face and provide a foundation for them to thrive in any environment.

Did you always want to be an entrepreneur?

I had no idea I wanted to be an entrepreneur, until I became a mother. I wanted to homeschool my daughter and I knew I wouldn’t be able to while working a full time job. So I entered the childcare scene and have loved it for over 4 years now.

Words of advice you would give to someone getting into your field?

My advice would be “create our own lane.” Don’t look to the left or right and get distracted. Stay focused on the gift and idea that God gave you. It may look or sound like what something someone else is doing, but you are what make it unique!

What is the message you want to deliver to people?

Self-love is the key to flourish and thrive as beings. It is important to cultivate a lifestyle that supports the health of the mind, body and soul.

Children are the future and we should provide them self-love tools to help navigate life’s ups and downs. Learning to accept our mistakes allows us to learn from the mistake and make adjustments to be successful and happy.

How long have you been in your craft?

I have been working with children since I was a teenager. It was in my mid 20’s just a few years ago that I discovered my purpose as a child advocate and wellness consultant. Learning meditation and breath work myself, made me realize children needed to learn these techniques as soon as possible.
